There are lots of things to like about printable PDF sewing patterns. They cost less than their printed tissue counterparts. They’re immediate – you can purchase online from anywhere and have them immediately (No shipping times or charges!) And they make pattern production more available to smaller, independent designers who don’t have the money to invest in large scale printing.
But even with all these plusses, there’s one big minus, and that’s the fact that you have to print and tape the pieces together. After all, most pattern pieces will be larger than standard 8 1/2 x 11 .printer paper. All those pieces can be overwhelming, but Becky from Patchwork Posse has some tips to help you with this step.
