Ashley from Make It and Love It shares a tutorial for making this little boy’s suspender onesie with an attached bow tie. Cuteness overload! She shows two versions of the attached suspenders – one with the faux suspenders stitched all the way down to the onesie, and a version with the suspenders hanging free at the bottom so you can actually attach a pair of pants to them. The bow ties attach with snaps , so they’re interchangeable. Go to Make It and Love It for the how-to.

Sewing your own baby clothes is very satisfying. It’s one of the precious times when we as parents get to choose what our children wear without complaint. Dressing your baby in unique handmade clothing makes for wonderful photos and keepsakes too. As children get older they can select their own fabrics and become part of the sewing process.
