Tutorial: Ballet tutu

Emily from Life Sew Savory shows how she sewed this classic ballet tutu for her daughter. Unlike a no-sew knotted tulle tutu, her sewn version has the tulle gathered on to a fabric strip that has a foldover elastic waistband that looks more like the classic ballet tutu. The no-sew version is perfectly fine for dress-up and costumes, but for dance class her sewn version looks far more comfortable.
