Tutorial: Best tips for working with fabric bias

Usually people don’t use the word “bias” as a compliment. But in sewing, bias can be a very good thing. In sewing, bias refers to the direction of a fabric that’s 45 degrees from straight grain. This magic angle gives a little stretch to the fabric. Confused? Irene from Serger Pepper explains what bias is, its advantages, and how best to work with it to take advantage of it’s best properties and how to avoid unwanted stretching or warping.
