Janet from JMD Designs shows how to add bias trim with no stitch lines showing. She stitches the first side down with a sewing machine, but the side that is wrapped around gets stitched by hand. This takes a little more time than doing it entirely by machine, but it creates an edge finish with nearly invisible stitching. Go to the tutorial.
