People’s bodies are rarely the same garment size all over. If you take your measurements and compare them with the sizing charts on a printed pattern, don’t be surprised if your bust measurement puts you in one size column, while your hip or waist will put you in another. (This is why it’s so hard to get a perfect fit on store-bought clothing.) If you’re using a multi-sized pattern, it’s easy enough to cut your garment on different sizes in different parts.
