Tutorial: Bonjour envelope neck shirt

We often think of the overlapping envelope neck style as something for baby wear. But Kelly from Sewing In No Man’s Land shows how an envelope neck tee can be stylish in bigger kids’ clothes. She shares a tutorial at The Sewing Rabbit showing how to make her Bonjour Envelope Tee for kids. Made from a stripe with the word “bonjour” stenciled across, it has a decidedly French flair. Her tutorial shows how to trace around a t-shirt that fits your child to get a basic pattern, and then how to adapt it to give it the overlapping envelope neck.
