Mira from Sewing The Littleheart Collection made this bunny security blanket as a special gift for a brand new baby. Isn’t the cutest? She shares a tutorial showing how she did it. Go to her blog for the tutorial.

I bought an original Fisher-Price bunny in 1982 for my son. Made my own for both daughters in 1985 and 1994 respectively. They look much like your original – loved to death. I am now making ones for my grandbabies. I have learnt that making three allows for washing without the hysterics.
Thank you for posting the pattern. I have misplaced the originals and was desperate!

My husband was the stay at home “homemaker” in Hibbing MN in 1990. Our first daughter got one of these and her first word was Bobby. The dental discussion told us to go with the thumb because it’s always there. We got a “spare Bobby”, then another and after daughter number two there were 5 Bobbies. Every Bobby was equal, went everywhere and got washed thousands of times. When our daughters were in college they asked to get Bobby in the mail.
