It’s the beginning of November. If you want to make an Advent calendar for Christmas, now’s a good time to start so you won’t end up in a crafty rush. Jann from Newton Custom Interiors guest blogs in the Seasonal Sewing Series at So Sew Easy with a tutorial showing how to make a Christmas tree Advent calendar. The design is based on one she had when she was growing up. We found a similar Advent calendar in my husband’s childhood Christmas decorations, too. It has a big Christmas tree applique and pockets at the bottom holding small ornaments that children can move each day to the tree. Go to So Sew Easy for her tutorial.
