Tutorial: Colorful painted doilies

Here’s a fun idea for using craft store and estate sale doilies. Add color to them! Jules Madden has a tutorial at Alisa Burke’s blog showing how to paint doilies. It’s a particularly good project for doilies that have gotten stained with age. She uses them for wall decor but of course I can’t help but think they’d be beautiful in your sewing projects – on bags, pillows, skirts, you name it!
