I love working with knit fabrics, but it can be difficult to find cool prints. Kathy Cano-Murillo, aka The Crafty Chica, has a solution. She uses spray dye and cut-out shapes to create a custom fabric print. Her example shows how to do it on an existing blouse, but there’s no reason why you couldn’t spread out some yardage or your cut pattern pieces and create your print before assembling a garment.
