For as many decorative stitches that you find on a typical Janome sewing machine, they rarely get used. But here’s a project that puts those stitches front and center. Sew4Home shows how to make hot pads accented with decorative stitches. The decorative stitches are sewn in stripes across the hot pad – use a favorite stitch for all the lines, or make it more of a sampler with each line featuring a different stitch. Grommets in the corners of the hot pads allow you to hang them from a hook.
