I was in love with this dress by Bev from Flamingo Toes before I knew how she made it. Then, when I saw how easy it was – and how inexpensive the materials – I loved it even more! The top is a thrifted denim shirt and the skirt is made from a vintage sheet. She’s got a tutorial showing how she made it. Her tutorial is part of the Sundressing series by Melly Sews.

Vintage sheets are very popular for re-styling or recycling of fabric and a great way to use these fun and bold prints rather than just storing grannies old bedsheets in the cupboard. You can see more articles using vintage sheets here. Don’t have any vintage bed sheets of your own? Check these out on Etsy.
