Anna from Plan B shows to make a ruana, a poncho-style shawl or wrap. It’s essentially a poncho with a slit down one side. It’s easy to make, requiring only that you cut it to shape and finish the edges. Though a simple garment, it can be worn many ways. You can wrap both sides over your shoulder (shown here), or let them hang and belt them. I’ve also seen it worn with one just one end over the shoulder and pinned in place. Go to Plan B for the tute.
