Tutorial: Dog bed with removable fleece cover

December 5, 2013 by Anne Weaver

Tutorial: Dog bed with removable fleece coverErin Erickson from Dog Under My Desk shares a tutorial at Pellon showing how to make a dog bed with a removable fleece cover.  If your doggie is especially spoiled, you could also use Minky.  The cover has an easy to sew envelope closure.  When the cover gets dirty, just remove the insert and run it through the wash.  She gives the one she made a giant mustache applique.  Go to her tutorial to see how to make one.

Owning a dog can be very expensive and not only does making your own dog beds, coats and toys seem like fun, it is also a great way to save money on pet supplies too.  One of our puppy’s favorite homemade dog toy is a soda bottle ½ filled with rice. It is noisy, it flips and spins and has a spout for him to grab.
