Sometimes the best project for a piece of fabric doesn’t involve sewing anything at all. I had a vintage pillowcase with a sweet print but it was so thin and the design was so spread apart that it was going to be hard to use in a sewing project. But it turns out that scrap of fabric was perfect to make a pretty dry erase board! I’ve got a tutorial on my personal blog, Orange Bettie, showing how I made it. The materials were inexpensive because I scored them all from Goodwill.

Vintage sheets are very popular for re-styling or recycling of fabric and a great way to use these fun and bold prints rather than just storing grannies old bedsheets in the cupboard. You can see more articles using vintage sheets here. Don’t have any vintage bed sheets of your own? Check these out on Etsy.
