Tutorial: Easy 30-minute serger tutu

The Alpine Fabrics blog has a tutorial showing how you can use a serger to whip up a gorgeous tutu in just 30 minutes. It has a wide elastic waistband, which seems like it would be more comfortable to wear than one with tulle knotted around it. You’ll use your serger to quickly gather up the yards and yards of tulle you need to make it full and fluffy, then a sewing machine to stitch the gathered tulle to the elastic waistband.
