This cover up skirt is just the thing to pull on over a swimsuit when you’re en route to the pool! Jamie from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom shares a tutorial for making one. It’s a simple gathered skirt from a gauze fabric, made even easier by using elastic thread shirring to create the stretchy gathered waist. If you’ve never tried elastic thread shirring, this is the perfect project to give it a go. She gives cutting measurements to make them in two sizes: one that fits girls 3-7, and another that fits girls 8 and up. You can easily adjust the measurements to make other sizes, too.
