Remona from The Stitching Scientist shows how to make an easy knit sundress for a little girl. The bodice is simply a tube of knit fabric, with ribbons for straps and a skirt gathered to the bottom. You can make it any length from tunic top to maxi dress. The textured knit she used for the one in her post is super cute! Go to The Stitching Scientist to get her tutorial.

I am so excited about finding all of the wonderful ideas you young women come up with. I stopped sewing 30 years ago for a number of reasons and am now jumping back into the “mix,” but I feel like Rip Van Winkle awakening to a world of options, notions, fabrics (all available at the end of my computer) and it is tremendously exciting! At 71 I have a whole new life to live. Thank you so much, you young women who “never gave up” the womanly art of providing clothing for your children (and selves and husbands). I admire you all tremendously.
