Her tutorial shows how you can make the embellished jeans shorts from a pair of jeans, adding a fabric panel over one of the legs. Then, she shows how you can make a coordinating t-shirt using a freezer paper stencil technique. She used a trendy Aztec inspired design, but you could make this cute in any style of fabric. I can see this done up pretty in a floral, or going for a retro vibe with a polka dot.
