Amy at Serving Pink Lemonade shows how to make a puzzle page for a quiet book. The pieces are all fabric, with Velcro on the back to stick them down. She provides the images for the fruit puzzles she makes in her example, but you can use any image on your computer to make the puzzle. Even if you’re not currently making a quiet book, you could make up some fabric puzzles to be assembled on a small flannel board. Go to Serving Pink Lemonade for the how-to.

Quiet books or busy books are educational book/toys made with age or development appropriate activities for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children. They are interactive and tactile. These books usually involve a cause and effect result as well as visual aids to teach fundamental learning skills. These books also develop hand and eye co-ordination.
