Lainie from Maker*land shows how you can make a pair of fairy dress-up wings for a small child. These are more substantial than a pair of wire & sheer fabric wings like you’d find at the store, and I think they’d stand up better to active play. These are made from two layers of quilting cotton, with batting and foam inside for shaping. She added a couple of yarn pom poms for accents, which I think are pretty cute. Go to Maker*land for the tutorial showing how to make them.
