Beth, The Renegade Seamstress, shows how to make a pair of fingerless mittens out of a felted wool sweater. Wool sweaters are generally easily found at thrift stores or yard sales. If you can’t get your hands on a wool sweater, you could use non-wool (cotton, acrylic, etc.) instead, though the mittens wouldn’t be quite as warm as ones made from wool. Get the how-to.
