Roselee from Baby E Crafts and Jane of All Trades made fleece cuffs to layer underneath her daughter’s mittens. They extend the length of the mitten so cold air (and cold snow) doesn’t sneak in. She got the idea from a pair of cuffs she found in a store, but they were pricey and easily sewn at home. She wrote up a tutorial showing how to make them. You could probably sew up a pair from scraps of fleece left over from previous projects. And with just one seam to create each one, they’re super fast to make. Go to Jane of All Trades for the tute.
