Usually when I make a circle skirt, I go for the narrowest hem possible. The deeper a curved hem is, the more difficult it is to get it to lie flat. But Deby from So Sew Easy shows another method for hemming a circle skirt that allows for a wide hem. She shows how to use a hem facing to create a wide hem on a circle skirt. The wide hem creates an attractive stitch line, and I think the extra fabric gives the hem more weight for a nice drape.
