Jo from Jo’s Country Junction shows how to make a hanging ditty bag. These hanging organizers are used in theater circles to keep costumes and accessories together. A fabric sleeve slips over a coat hanger, with pockets on one side for shoes and on another for accessories. The dress or costume is hung over the top. She sewed some up for a high school musical production, and she shares a tutorial showing how you can make some, too. I work with theatre… this is a good idea.. but it might even be better if it was a whole bag, with a zipper… to put the costume in also… many costumes are material that cannot get wet and this would be great especially if it were made from flannel backed plastic table clothes. Pockets are great….but should be zipable also to keep small things in
