There’s nothing like my serger coming unthreaded to throw a monkey wrench in my sewing plans. That lower looper is so tricky to thread! I don’t think I’ve ever threaded it successfully on the first try, and never without a little cussing and crying. The threading path shown on my serger is helpful but there’s not enough detail to show exactly what needs to be done. Sherri from Thread Riding Hood shares a tutorial at Craftsy showing how to thread a serger, with full color photographs of each step. Her tutorial shows the threading for her machine (a Kenmore model 385.16622), but the threading path will be similar for most sergers.
