Melissa Mortenson from Polka Dot Chair shows how you can make a leather and canvas monogrammed zippered pouch. She pieces the canvas and the leather to minimize bulk. (Where there is a leather stripe on the front of the bag, there is a canvas stripe on the back.) The piecing keeps you from having to move two layers of leather under your needle, and it also creates a cool color blocking. Go to Polka Dot Chair for the how-to.
