Jessica from The Sewing Rabbit and Me Sew Crazy shows how to make a little girl’s gathered skirt with modern patchwork arrow motifs. She used a Jelly Roll (precut fabrics) to create the strips of diagonally striped fabric and has plenty of them left over for other projects. You could also use smaller pieces of fabric from your scrap bin to create just the diagonal stripsy you need for this project. Go to her blog for the tutorial.
