Tutorial: Little girl’s pleated winter skirt

Mie from Sewing Like Mad shares a tutorial over at The Sewing Rabbit showing how to make a pleated skirt for a little girl. It has 5 pleats in the front and a simple elastic waistband. The grosgrain ribbon at the hem is a cute detail. She uses a heavier fabric to make it a winter skirt. It’s cute layered up with leggings or tights, t-shirt or sweater, and maybe a jacket if it’s really cold. You can make it for warmer weather, too – just use a lighter weight fabric.
