I bet you’re wondering why one would need a tutorial to make cut-off jean shorts. After all, you just cut ’em and roll the edges up, right? Wrong. The tapered legs of jeans would make the cuff smaller around than the denim it’s rolled up and over, which would make the jean shorts tend to bubble right above the cuffs. (Or cut off the blood flow in your thighs, depending on the cut of the jeans….)
Suzannah from Adventures in Dressmaking shows how she created longish cut-off jean shorts with rolled cuffs that are the right circumference for the leg. It takes some planning and little bit of sewing, but the results are worth it. Go to the tutorial.
