I don’t use pins in my sewing that often, but when I do they always end up in a little pile in front of my sewing machine. I take them out of my fabric as it approaches the needle, and then have no convenient place to put the pin. A pincushion like this one would certainly help with that. Jess from The Sewing Rabbit shows how to make one. The small pincushion is sewn to a long ribbon that you can tie around your sewing machine, so there’s always a handy spot to put your pins.
