Tutorial: Metallic gold pencil skirtOh my, how I am loving this metallic pencil skirt that Liz from Cotton & Curls made!  How awesome would this be for holiday parties!  She shares a tutorial showing how she made it.  She used metallic gold fabric from the  costuming section of the fabric store.  If metallic isn’t your think, or you can’t find a suitable metallic fabric, a pencil skirt looks good out of many other types of fabric, too.  Go to Cotton & Curls for the tute.

Dear Crafty Readers,

“I saw a sewing trend on Pinterest that I loved — a style that’s everywhere right now.

I didn’t buy it. I didn’t resell someone else’s pattern. I just used my own skills and made a version for myself.

When I shared it online, someone accused me of copying and being unethical.

I wasn’t trying to steal anyone’s work. I was just inspired.

Now I’m second-guessing myself and wondering where the line actually is.
