Tutorial: No-knot hand sewing trick
You know that little trick that sewists can do, where they lick their finger and then twirl it around a thread and voila! they have a knot? Yeah, I can’t do it. I have never been able to master the quick knot, so every time I sew by hand I have to work to create a knot at the end of my thread. But now that I’ve seen this tutorial by Damjana from Apple Green Cottage, I may be skipping that step. She shows how to start a hand sewn seam – without knotting your thread first!
