Tutorial: No-sew padded lap desk
Emma from A Beautiful Mess shows how you can make a lap desk, with no sewing required. She purchased the wooden top from the hardware store (she gives a link), but if you can’t find one I’m sure you could improvise. She attaches a fabric wrapped foam padding to the bottom so it’s sits comfortably on your lap.
