Crafty Chica shares a tutorial at I Love To Create showing how she made these awesome sneakers. She started with a pair of plain canvas sneakers, and used Aleene’s Fabric Fusion to cover them in a bright oilcloth print. If you don’t have any oilcloth, you could use any fun fabric print (though the oilcloth has such a pretty shiny surface). Get the tutorial.

Thank you for featuring my sneakers, what a delightful surprise!! Actually, I used Fabric Fusion to affix the oilcloth to the sneaker, it is an extra strength adhesive made for fabric.
Sending you crafty cheers of appreciation, thanks again!!

Thank you for your comment! Where did I get the whole “mod podge” thing? You are clearly using Fabric Fusion in the directions and in the photo! (Might have something to do with the little girl tugging at my sleeve every 30 seconds the whole time I was blogging…) I’ve corrected the post to show the correct adhesive. That looks like such a fun product! I might have to run out and get some and see what damage I can do to my scrap bin. 🙂 –Anne
