Stephanie from Swoodson Says shares a tutorial at Seams and Scissors showing how you can make a set of zippered pouches to organize the inside of a diaper bag. Actually this works with any large bag you might carry throughout the day, though diaper bags tend to be more of a catch-all because of all the items you take with you when you’ve got littles. The pouches help keep like items together so they’re easy to find when you need them. Little labels sewn into the tops tell you what is inside each pouch. She made one for food (snacks, bibs, etc), one for meds, and one for etc (phone, keys, etc). Finished pouch measurements are 8″ x 10.5″, but the size is easy enough to adjust to fit your needs.

Diaper bags are like the “tricks of the trade” kit. If you have a baby, you can not leave home without it. Choosing a diaper bag can be quite complex as you need to select one that meets all your individual needs. My best advice about sewing your own Nappy or diaper bag is POCKETS! and lot’s of them, they can be on the outside or the inside it doesn’t matter.
