I keep most of my sewing patterns in shoe boxes so I can flip through the envelopes to find the pattern I want. But that system doesn’t work for the PDF patterns I have printed at home and assembled myself. They don’t have the standard size pattern envelopes, and the printer paper pieces don’t fold up as small as the tissue patterns do. Wendy from Thimblenest guest blogs at Sew, Mama, Sew with her system for organizing her PDF sewing patterns. She keeps them in 3-ring binders, which accommodate the printed directions and the bulkier pattern pieces.

I love this system! Been doing it for years with sewing, knitting and embroidery patterns!

I don’t usually use computer technology for things like this, but you’ve convinced me to at least try it out.
