Sewing any curved pieces together can be tricky, but the little curved pieces of a softie can be especially difficult. According to Abby Glassenberg from While She Naps, and author of Stuffed Animals: From Concept to Construction, the secret is in the pinning. Now I normally avoid pinning as much as possible, but seeing in her tutorial how proper pinning makes the small curved pieces go together smoothly, has me thinking kindly of pins – at least for making softies. Go to her blog for her tutorial.
