She designed it for her 4 year old niece, who has a hard time holding a hand full of playing cards where she can see them but her opponents cannot. Magnets inside the sleeve will hold your cards in place even if the card holder gets turned upside down. Though she suggests this as a help for children playing cards, I think this could also be a great help to anyone who has a hard time holding cards, perhaps due to arthritis or loss of fine motor control.
