Natalie from Johnny In A Dress used Heat ‘n Bond to create a series of appliqued sibling shirts for her kids. Her trick for creating the perfectly cut letters is to print them from her computer on to the back of the Heat ‘n Bond. She shares a tutorial showing how to do it. Get the tute.

Hi, I am trying to upcycle a cushion with my sons name on it. I was hoping to cut letters from felt and attach them with Bondaweb. I dont actually own a sewing machine (yet) as was hoping that I would not have to sew around the edge of the letters after ironing them on. Can you help please?? many thanks, Heidi

You can get by without sewing around the letters, though the edges might start coming up after a while. If you don’t have a machine, you can always hand stitch around the letters. –Anne
