Amy from Positively Splendid shows how to make a table runner, quick and easy. It’s made from two coordinating fabrics and folded into a point at either end. Go to her blog for the how-to.

How much material do I purchase for your easy table runner? You don’t mention that in your directions.

Amy,
I am confused about one step in your runner instructions. When you say to fold the runner in half lengthwise wrong sides facing with the panel facing out. Next you instruct to stitch the short ends of the runner with a 1/2″ stitch. Doesn’t this create a tube thereby reducing the width of the runner by 1/2? I would like to make this runner this weekend but I can’t go forward until I get a clear understanding about this step. Thank you.
