Becky from Patchwork Posse shows how you can use a quilt-as-you-go technique to make a flag pillow that would be perfect for 4th of July decoration.  The red and white stripes, as well as the field of blue, use the quilt-as-you-go technique.  A single large star is appliqued in the field of blue.  How cute would this be sitting on a front porch rocking chair or porch swing.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern
