I love a good recycled jeans sewing project. Something about all the shades of blue and the soft faded fabric just makes me feel happy. Ama from Ohoh Blog shows how you can make this awesome rug out of old denim jeans. It’s made in a patchwork of wedge shaped pieces, kind of like rays of a sun. You’ll need quite a few pairs – 6, to be exact – so hit the thrift stores and the rummage sales to find them cheap.

This rug is absolutely beautiful! I actually have a pile of old denim jeans that I have been trying to find ways to recycle them, but I definitely think that making this patchwork rug would be a great idea for me to try! Now, I can’t really tell from this post, but what do you use for the bottom part of the rug? I have cats and so I definitely would want to have something to grip the rug onto the floor and doesn’t sit like a blanket would. http://www.allusaclothing.com/american-made-mens-jeans-s/1858.htm
