This deer head pillow will take your decor from fall through winter, especially if you use a cozy flannel for the deer design. Jess from Gracious Threads has a tutorial at Fleece Fun showing how to make one. The deer is actually a reverse applique, a technique where the shape is cut out of the main fabric (with contrasting fabric layered behind), rather than a traditional applique that has the shape sewn on to the top of the main fabric.
