Centsational Girl shares a tutorial showing how to make a set of picnic placemats with pockets to hold your utensils. They roll up and tie closed so your cutlery stays put during transport. When you’re ready to eat, just unroll the placemat and you’ve got an instant table setting. You can make a set of 4 placemats out of a 1 1/2 yards of 54″ wide fabric. (If you want contrasting pockets and ties, get 1 yard of the base fabric and 1/2 yard of the accent.) Get the tute.
