Vicky from Mad for Fabric shares a tutorial for making a scrappy tufted pincushion. She includes a free pattern. The tufted button center and stitches around the wedge shaped pieces give it a pretty flower shape. If you have small scraps of precious fabrics (like Liberty prints or vintage feedsack, as she used) this is a good project to showcase them.
