Tutorial: Scribbly stitching applique

Pam from Threading My Way shows how to do scribbly stitching applique that works well for stitching around tiny or complex applique pieces.  It might also be referred to as wonky stitching or sketchy stitching.   It looks like free motion stitching, but she doesn’t drop the feed dogs.  This is my favorite way to applique.  I love being able to draw pictures and color them in with bits of scrappy fabric. Oh, and if you’re loving the cute robot designs she uses in her tutorial, you can download the templates for free here: Robot Applique Templates.

Easy Cosmetics Bag Sewing Pattern
