Jen from Eat. Sleep. Make. shows how you can make these simple serged handwarmers. They’re squares of fabric filled with rice. Heat them in the microwave and tuck them in your coat pockets before heading out into a cold day. They’re easy to make on your serger. Or, if you don’t have a serger, you could make them on your sewing machine using an overcast or zig zag stitch to finish the raw edges.
