Lynette from Running With Scissors shows how to make a simplified cuff. It gives the look of a cuff and a placket, but look closely and you’ll see that the cuff is not a separate piece of fabric, but is instead folded up from the bottom of the sleeve. And the placket is also a faux placket. She uses this method when making shirts for her son. He’ll soon be growing out of them so she doesn’t like investing more time than necessary to make him a handmade shirt. Using this method, she’s able to make an entire shirt in roughly 25 minutes.
